Daniel Espinosa, MD
Dr. Espinosa received his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico before completing a pre-internship program at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. Having grown up in Victoria, TX, he returned to the community and completed his residency at DeTar Family Medicine Residency, a program in affiliation with Texas A&M Health Science Center. During his residency, Dr. Espinosa was recognized for his leadership and named Chief Resident where he created a global health initiative in the country where he was born -- Ecuador.
In 2019, Dr. Espinosa joined Victoria Hospitalist Associates where he cared for patients at Detar Hospital Navarro. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, he was on the frontlines managing the care of patients in the hospital setting and alongside his father Dr. Fabian Espinosa at his private practice. He also collaborated with a group of physicians to create a treatment protocol for COVID-19 known as the Multi Mechanism Approach (MMA), the protocol is still in use to treat COVID-19 patients in clinical settings and multiple hospitals. He has been recognized by the First World Congress for COVID-19 in Switzerland and published in the medical journal, PLOS One.
Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Espinosa specializes in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses; he is dedicated to providing quality medical care to help his adult patients reach their personal wellness and health goals through preventive care and screenings.
He is fluent in Spanish and is accepting new patients into his practice.
